DPD are a fantastic parcel carrier & their Parcel Shop Network makes sending parcels around the U.K. extremely convenient for many of their customers.

However, because most of their Parcel Shops are in convenience stores & other retail outlets with limited space to store parcels they have placed some restrictions on the size & weight of packages that can be sent through their retail parcel shop network.

At the time of writing the maximum size of parcels that can be sent via a DPD Parcel Shop is 60cm x 60cm x 60cm with a maximum weight not exceeding 20kg.

To help customers make the most of the DPD Parcel Shop service our sister company Defenda Packaging produces two boxes designed specifically for use in DPD’s Parcel Shop system. One of the boxes is the maximum size permitted: measuring 60cm x 60cm x 60cm externally and the other is manufactured with the same footprint but at half the height.

As a distribution warehouse without the space restrictions of a DPD Parcel Shop we can send parcels through the DPD network measuring 100cm x 70cm x 60cm with an increased weight allowance of 30kg for U.K. parcels.

We have a late daily collection from DPD — so unlike retail parcel shops with a cut off point of midday for next day delivery, you can drop your parcels off as late as 4.30pm for a next day delivery.

Of course we work with a number of other parcel networks that can carry parcels up to 3.6m long & our nationwide direct delivery courier & transport service means whatever you have to send to U.K. or International addresses can be shipped securely.
